Terms of Service
Last updated 4 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ganakys Codilla Apps (OPC) Private Limited for your use of the KitchenOS app and website. By creating an account or using KitchenOS, you agree to them. Please read the health and AI sections carefully.
1. Who can use KitchenOS
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You may add household members, including children, whose meals you manage; you are responsible for the information you enter about them.
2. What KitchenOS does
KitchenOS is a household kitchen assistant. It helps you plan meals, track your pantry, log what you eat, manage reminders, and — with a paid plan — generate AI meal plans and use a voice assistant. It is a planning and organisation tool.
Important — not medical advice
KitchenOS is not a medical, nutritional, or healthcare service, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Meal plans, nutrition figures, and any health-related content are general suggestions and estimates, not professional guidance. Always consult a qualified doctor or dietitian for medical or dietary decisions, and never disregard professional advice because of something in the app. If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Important — allergies & AI
Meal plans and food information are generated in part by artificial intelligence and can be incomplete or wrong. KitchenOS tries to respect the allergies and conditions you enter, but it cannot guarantee that a suggested dish, ingredient, or nutrition value is safe or accurate for you. You are responsible for checking every ingredient against your household's allergies and medical needs before cooking or eating. Do not rely on the app alone for allergy safety.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- KitchenOS is free to use for its core features. Premium and Family+ plans unlock AI planning and the voice assistant.
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed through Google Play at the prices shown in the app for your region (inclusive of applicable taxes). There are no annual plans.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the Play Store; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play terms. Refunds, where applicable, are governed by Google Play's refund policy.
- We may change plan prices or features. We will give notice of changes as required, and changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the information and content you add — your recipes, household details, logs and preferences. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process that content to operate the service for you (including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the content you enter and confirm you have the right to use it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse KitchenOS. In particular, do not: use it for any unlawful purpose; attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service; resell or commercially exploit it without our permission; or upload content that is illegal or infringes others' rights.
6. Our intellectual property
The KitchenOS app, website, name, logo, design and its curated content are owned by Ganakys Codilla Apps (OPC) Private Limited and are protected by law. These terms do not grant you any right to our branding or content beyond using the app as intended.
7. Suspension and termination
You can stop using KitchenOS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms other users or the service. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers, liability and governing law) continue to apply.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
KitchenOS is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any suggestion or figure it produces is accurate or suitable for you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ganakys Codilla Apps (OPC) Private Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any harm arising from your reliance on meal, nutrition or health-related content. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app or the law changes. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use KitchenOS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law, the courts at Kerala, India will have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to KitchenOS.
